Online Games Product Manager:

Amuso.com is looking for a Product Management Lead to be an integral part of our team in Barcelona, bringing the next generation of game shows to global audiences.

In this role, s/he will be a champion of the user's online experience by leading the definition and implementation of core site functionalities and content offerings that improve customer satisfaction and enhance the value of the Amuso brand.

Our international team comes from Yahoo and Sony Broadband Entertainment with backing from top tier Venture Capital funds behind companies like Skype.

Job Description:

As the Product Management Lead you will be a core member of our leadership and team. You will immediately jump into developing and managing the project timeline as well as helping in all areas where you can lend a hand, from communication to product development to QA test plans. You should be comfortable managing cross-functional teams to deliver exciting new products.

Specific role include:

Define product specifications, establish milestones, and manage the development, implementation and marketing launch against goals.

Work closely with the CEO to identify gaps in core product functionality and content offerings as well as to assign priority to key product areas for development.

Measure product performance and identify key levers of improvement - including design and analysis of relevant reports.

Requirements:

  • Have worked in online games/gaming industry
  • Be an active user of social media/social networks
  • Speak fluent English; EU work authorization
  • Minimum 4 years experience including at least 2+ years experience in product management for consumer-focused internet company
  • Demonstrate consumer mind-set and business acumen
  • Specific experience in successfully developing and managing new product launches including a proven ability to champion products and drive to key decisions
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of an organization, including ability to communicate in non technical manner and fluent English speaking skills
  • Strong organization and analytic skills absolutely required
  • Teamwork skills essential; sense of humor preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage an agile project timeline from conception through launch
  • Define and document all project requirements and tasks
  • Develop, control, and steer the project's master schedule
  • Recommend, implement, and manage the necessary project management tools
  • Deliver weekly reports on the status of the schedule, missed tasks, milestones achieved, and identified risks
  • Keep business owners up to date on project status and potential issues
  • Ensure projects are implemented according to requirements
  • Resolve project, design, or development issues before they cause schedule delays
  • Aid in the preparation and presentation of executive level project progress and status reports

Experience Guidelines (some of this should apply to you):

  • BA/BS from a four year institution in a related field
  • 2+ years experience in project management or related area
  • Understanding of Web technologies
  • Understanding and experience in user interface best practices
  • Experience with web development life cycles including wireframing, development, testing, and deployment as well as work breakdown, dependencies, responsibilities
  • Two or more instances of managing a custom application development project to completion
  • Experience managing projects of at least $1M+ (multiple experiences preferred)
  • Ability to effectively work with minimal supervision both individually and in a team setting
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Highly analytical, logical, and good problem solver
  • Great interpersonal communication skills to get along with a variety of personalities

  • Have experience with QA and User Testing
  • Have programmed before and know a bit about databases
  • Have worked at a web startup
  • Have practiced Agile development and scrum methodology as scrum master or product owner.
