Damn this is a toughie.. which genre to choose from?! haha. But for metal, I think Phil Anselmo's got it all.. anger, aggression, attitude... high-pitch screaming, earth trembling growling and does quite well with a ballad!
...theres just so many to chose from. Kurt Cobain is a great example because of his unique vocals and Anthony Keidis has a different tone when he sings! We could just name all of the most obvious ones like 'James Hetfield', 'Scott Weiland', or even that bitch Axel Rose! For my pick, all I have to say is one thing....'Hurt'!!!!!
vale como tu digas nigeon! pero no me digas que el cantante de cannibal corpse canta. no hace notas no sigue una escala. gritar no es cantar. cuando gritas lo que haces es un ruido. mas nada.
Check http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/sing And if you want, search for scream.
Death metal singers uses their own vocalisation style and "the majority of "good" growling techniques apply the same principles that are witnessed in "clean" vocals.[original research?] These principles include timing and cues, holding a note (or gurgle) for a certain amount of time without it fraying, and being able to sing rhythmically underneath the growl while alternating between different pitches if necessary." Whathever...Hetfield always the best, not only screaming but lyric voice, any tune he wants...can´t be better!Just awesome! You rock James!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Corey Taylor from Slipknot is a good example of a good scream and a lyric voice. There you go!

Hetfield has never been the best, Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden, Rob Halford from Judas Priest, they are the best, not James "Poser" Hetfield
