What is Amuso?

Amuso is an on online game show platform that lets everyone play and win game shows created by our members and partners.

What do you mean by game shows?

We think of game shows as contests for real people to show off their talent or skill in front of an audience.

How does it work?

As a presenter, your first step is to create a show based on talent or skill. Contestants enter photos or videos and the best content gets voted to the top. At the end of the show, winners take home the prize and the presenter gets rewarded for running a great show.

Who can create a game show?

Anyone can create a game show on Amuso. Amuso also sponsors game shows and hosts shows for brand partners and non profit organizations.

Who can enter the game shows?

Anyone can enter the game shows and invite friends to participate. For game shows with cash prizes, contestants need to be over the age of 18, and you’ll want to have a read through our terms and conditions to see what other rules and legal aspects may apply.

Who can vote on the game shows?

Anyone can vote on the game shows. However, only the votes of registered users are counted to determine the winners.

Can I play for free on Amuso?

Yes! Its totally free to have fun on Amuso. When you sign up, we will give you free credits to enter shows for fun and prizes and you can always vote to help choose the winners.

What are the channels?

There are currently five channels of game shows on Amuso. This isn’t meant to be comprehensive or too limiting; just general guidelines so you know what to expect.

Music: Here’s where music fanatics can let loose, singing, dancing and getting funky. Think pop idols, battle of the bands, dance marathons and air guitar heroes.
Comedy: This is the home of hilarity. Contests for amusing photos, jokes, pranks, parodies and any other funny business fit in right here.
Beauty: Vanity rules on this channel. Pit aspiring beauty queens and next top models against each other and let the people decide who’s got the winning look.
Lifestyle: This channel’s about living it up. Slot shows on dream holidays, home makeovers, coolest cars and cutest pets right here.
Impact: The channel to make a difference in the world. Run a show to raise funds and awareness for someone in need or a cause you care about. Every cash entry is donated to you campaign, just like a telethon.

What are Presenter Rewards?

Presenter Rewards is the name for a program we set up to reward our members for running great shows. As a presenter, you get rewards every time a new contestant joins your show. The reward is calculated as 15% of the total prize pool of your show.

Why does Amuso ask for personal information?

We ask for some identifying information to verify your identity when voting and participating in game shows. This lets us inform you when you win and helps us prevent cheating. We keep this information in the strictest confidence and you can review our privacy policy");?> for more information.

Invitations are the quickest way to promote your game shows. Just click on the Invite Friends link from any game show page and use the contacts importer to build your audience. You can also embed your game show page on Facebook, MySpace as well as personal blogs and other sites that let users enter HTML code. Friends will click on it and come straight to your show.

How do I enter a game show?

Click on the \"Enter to Win\" button on the top of the game show pages to upload your photos or videos. You'll be asked to contribute a unit of cash or credit to the prize pool that you can win back with more when your talent rises to the top.

What are entry contributions?

Entry contributions are cash or credits that contestants contribute to the prize pool of the game shows. Presenters decide the stakes and prizes are distributed upon successful completion of the show.

When should I submit my entry?

We try to ensure that all entries get equal exposure, but the earlier you upload, the better because you may have more opportunities to be judged by the audience.

How many times can I enter a game show?

You can enter every game show one time.

If I submit a photo or video, do I keep the rights?

Yes, when you submit your content, you keep the full rights. You are giving Amuso non-exclusive rights to display and play your work. See all of the details on our terms & conditions page.

How can I promote my entry?

Invitations are the quickest way to promote your entries. Just click on the Invite Friends link from any game show page and use the contacts importer to rally your friends behind you. You can also use the Promote button embed a widget of your entry on Facebook, MySpace as well as personal blogs and other sites. Friends click on your widget and come straight to the show to vote for you.

What are the rules?

The basic rules of the game are for presenters to stick with appropriate themes, for contestants to enter one time per show with original content, and for judges in the audience to keep the voting criteria in mind when choosing the winners. Specific voting criteria varies by show and you can refer to the general game show rules here.

How do prizes work?

Prizes grow over time until the game show ends. Every new contestant contributes one unit of cash or credit toward the prize pool. At the end of the show, approximately 50% of the prize goes to the winners, 15% goes to the presenter and the balance is used to cover transaction costs and our cost of hosting the show.

How do I win a game show?

You win a game show one vote at a time. By attracting votes with your talent or skill, your entry will climb to the top so you can take home the prize.

What do I get if I win a game show?

Not only do you get bragging rights when you win game shows on Amuso, you take the home prizes. Prizes come in the form of cash, credits, or goods sponsored by our brand partners.

How do I know if I have won a game show?

We will use the email account you have registered with us to notify you when you win. You can also see your rank at all times in the Game Shows and track the status of your shows in your Account page.

What do I have to do to claim my prize?

You do not have to do anything to claim your prize. When you win a game show, your share of the prize is automatically deposited into your Amuso account.

How do I judge an entry?

To judge an entry, review the voting criteria on the top of the game show page and either pick your favorite or give it a thumbs up. Before you do anything though, sign up so we can count your vote.

How does the voting engine work?

Our voting engine tracks the collective opinion of the audience to determine winners. At the end of the show, all of the votes from all users are taken together to rank the top contestants and determine the winners.

Are the game shows fair?

All entries are judged by the real audience - with no rigging, no cheating, and no celebrity judges. Our voting engine ensures that all contestants get equal exposure so the best talent climbs to the top.

Where can I see all my game shows and entries?

The My Account page tracks all of your game shows and entries. You can access My Account from the navigation bar on the top of any page.

What if I see inappropriate content?

Not everybody follows the rules. For those that don't, we have a flag system to mark content that seems inappropriate, pirated or off topic. We monitor flags very carefully and barr repeat offenders from the site.

How do I change my profile information?

You can edit your personal information at any time by visiting the Profile page in My Account.

How can I add friends?

You can add friends by sending invitations and friend requests to other members. To send invitations, just click on the Invite Friends link from any game show page and you can use the contacts importer to reach your network. To send friend requests, just click on the Add Friends button next to any member profile.

How can I see what my friends are doing?

Everyone on Amuso has a profile page that lists their game shows and entries. You can link to your friends' profiles from the Live Feed on our home page or from the Community Page.

Why do some members have reputations?

Amuso has a reputation system to recognize and reward top Presenters. All new presenters start off as a Host and can climb five levels of reputation for running great shows. The levels are Host, Director, Executive Producer, Producer and Media Mogul. Presenters must remain active on Amuso to maintain their reputation level and can view the full rankings on the Studio page.

How do I become a VIP?

You can become a VIP member by making a cash deposit. VIPs can win cash prizes, receive extra credits and awards, and have exclusive access to all of the latest features on Amuso.

How do I open an Account?

To open an account on Amuso, you just have to sign up as a member. Sign up is totally free and will give you free credits to enter game shows. At any point you can decide to become a VIP member by making a real cash deposit.

How do I check my balance on Amuso?

Your account balance is always displayed at the top of the pages in the navigational header. This allows you to easily see how much money and credits you have remaining in your account. For a more detailed view of your account transactions, you can click on the \"Account statement\" page from My Account.

How do I deposit money into my account?

To deposit money into your account, just click on the “Deposit” link in My Account. Amuso currently accepts PayPal and premium SMS payment methods. Your account balance will be updated and you can start to play with the money you have just deposited directly after you make a deposit.

Does it cost anything to deposit funds?

Amuso does not charge any fees for making deposits. However, payment service providers may assess a small fee for processing transactions.

How do I withdraw funds from my account?

To withxdraw funds from your account, click on the “Withdrawal” link on the My Wallet page under My Account. You may withdraw the available funds in your account at any time. For security reasons, you can only have one withdrawal request active at a time.

What is the withdrawal fee?

The withdrawal fee referes to the cost assessed by payment service providers for processing transactions. This fee is deducted from your balance at the time of withdrawal. This means your account balance has to be able cover both the withdrawal fee and the withdrawal amount. Your Withdraw page will count all costs to show you the available net sum that can be withdrawn.

What are non-withdrawable funds?

Non-withdrawable funds refers to any sign up bonus you received when you became a VIP member. This amount is considered promotional money that can be used to win cash prizes but not withdrawn directly.

How do I receive my money?

Withdrawals will be sent to you by PayPal. You do not have to have a PayPal account to be able to receive money, the money will be sent to your e-mail address and then you can just follow the instructions to claim your money. The amount you have requested to withdraw will be deducted directly from your Amuso account although it may take up to 14 days to process your request.

Are transaction safe?

Amuso guarantees that every transaction you make will be 100% safe. Amuso uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption connections for all passwords and financial information. Anytime you enter sensitive information it will always be sent to the Amuso servers using encryption. The Amuso payment systems are industry strength, built using the latest encryption techniques and safety measures to guarantee transaction security.

What currencies work on Amuso?

Currently you can play with Euros, British Pounds and US Dollars on Amuso. The country you entered when signing up on Amuso determines what currency you will see on the site.

What are credits?

Credits are good for both reputation status and new features on the way to make your game shows and entries stand out. It takes a credit contribution to enter a game show for credits and you can always get more.

How do I add more credits to my account?

You can get more credits by voting, inviting friends and winning game shows. When you join the VIP Club, you will also receive bonus credits.
